Please read before your dog's first appointment. These policies exist to protect both your dog's welfare and Susie's ability to give every client the full attention they deserve.
Dogs of the North operates with a single dog in the salon at any one time. This is not incidental — it is the core of the service. Your dog receives Susie's complete, undivided attention for the full duration of their appointment. There are no other dogs present, no kennels, no waiting area for animals. Please do not bring additional dogs to the appointment.
Severely matted coats require a release form to be signed before grooming can proceed. De-matting is a time-consuming, uncomfortable process; in cases where matting is extreme, the safest and most humane option may be to clip the coat short rather than attempt to brush through. Susie will explain the options and what is in your dog's best interest at the time of assessment.
Arriving with a matted coat may affect the scope and duration of the appointment, and may incur an additional charge. If you are unsure about your dog's coat condition, call or email Susie beforehand.
Matted-coat release form requiredIf you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give a minimum of 48 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will incur a fee of 50% of the appointment cost. This reflects the fact that late cancellations leave appointment slots that cannot be filled at short notice, particularly given the high demand for bookings.
Less than 48hrs notice — 50% fee appliesFailing to arrive for a scheduled appointment without prior notice constitutes a no-show. No-shows will be charged 100% of the appointment fee. Repeated no-shows may result in being removed from the booking list.
No-show — 100% fee appliesPlease aim to arrive on time for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, Dogs of the North reserves the right to reschedule the appointment to another available time. This protects the integrity of every appointment and ensures that your dog receives their full allotted time — not a rushed version of it.
More than 15 minutes late — may be rescheduledBy booking an appointment at Dogs of the North, you agree to these policies. If you have any questions before your first visit, Susie is happy to talk you through them — call on 0425 717 119 or email rosetzkys@gmail.com.
