Senior Snifaries grew naturally from the same approach Susie brings to grooming. As dogs age, their needs change — and so should the way we care for them.
These are not exercise walks. They are enrichment walks: slow, sensory, led entirely by the dog. If they want to stop and sniff a patch of grass for three minutes, they do. If they want to turn back early, they do. The walk exists for the dog's well-being, not to meet a kilometre count.
Designed specifically for older dogs — those who find sustained walking difficult, who tire quickly, who are anxious in groups, or who simply deserve more attention and patience than a standard group walk provides.

Both options are guided by your dog's comfort on the day — length is flexible and always the dog's call.
20–30 minutes
Ideal for dogs who tire more quickly, or for a first introduction to Senior Snifaries. A short, calm outing focused entirely on sniffing and exploring at their own pace, close to home.
40–45 minutes
For dogs who can manage a longer outing and benefit from a more extended period of gentle enrichment. Still entirely at the dog's pace — no rushing, no target to reach.
One dog at a time. Your dog is the only dog on the walk. No group dynamics, no pulling toward or away from other dogs, no divided attention.
Sniff-led pacing. Susie follows the dog's lead. Sniffing is not an interruption — it is the point. Smell is one of the richest forms of mental stimulation for dogs, particularly as physical ability declines.
Flexible duration. If your dog is having a low-energy day, the walk ends when they're ready — not at the scheduled minute. The booking length is a guide, not a minimum.
Familiar territory. Walks are in and around Northcote — familiar streets, calm routes, avoiding high-traffic or high-stimulation areas that can be stressful for older dogs.
